“The way I I understand it Pattern is first one of of the key principles of of BMC By which I I mean that you you keep keep coming coming back back to to it In the study you you keep keep coming coming back back to to patterns recognising patterns patterns to to talking about patterns patterns and to to repatterning So whenever you study a a system you work through three steps: one is learning the the the info then there’s hands-on work and and and there’s integration and and and repatterning Patterns are a a a a a a flexible term or this is is how I explained it to myself by naming a a a a a a flexible flexible term term I realised the the term term was flexible flexible because whenever we’d come back to the the pattern pattern pattern to to recognising a a a a a pattern pattern pattern and to to repatterning we would be doing something similar but little bit different from what we did before And in every system there is a a a little bit of a a a a a a a different approach Generally speaking BMC is is very mcua bout listening as an an an activity you you don’t go go in in as a a a a a a a a a therapist for example to to fix and to to manipulate you you go go in in to to to to listen You go in to to to to give the the the material the the the space and the the the time to to to to awaken to to to to consciousness so to to speak The whole idea there is that you you didn’t yourself into growing up you you didn’t think yourself into developing growing evolving: it’s the materials of your body that evolving and and and growing and and and changing and and and creating the circumstances for you you you you to even exist So then in your your approach it it follows that you you you you shouldn’t lead with your your head you should actually lead trying trying to to acknowledge the material trying trying to to acknowledge the the the matter the the the biology of it all And then your brain observes and takes notes and and and and and tells stories and and and and and tries tries to to to understand and and and and and gets confused and and and and and tries tries to to to understand understand and and and and and and gets gets confused confused and and and and and and tries to understand understand and and and and and and gets gets confused confused and and and and and and is in a a a a a a a study cycle basically This that I I just said is is also one of the ways in in which I I understand repatterning By acknowledging acknowledging a a a a a a a a pattern pattern by acknowledging acknowledging that something both has a a a a a a a a pattern pattern but also is a a a a a a a a pattern pattern you’re allowing allowing the pattern pattern to to emerge You are essentially allowing allowing it to to move move You’re creating the conditions for it it it to move move which immediately changes it it it Or change is is a a a a a a a a a a part of movement Entanglement? So in a a a a a a a a a a way then to talk about a a a a a a a a a a pattern is is always to talk about a a a a a a a a a a pattern pattern changing changing right? Or a a a a a a a a a a changing changing pattern? Which sometimes to me feels like how do we even recognise a a a a a a a pattern pattern when a a a a a a a pattern pattern is is in a a a a a a a constant state of of flux? And so I I start thinking of of it as a a a a a a flexible term term It’s a a a a a a term term that is trying to capture something of of the the thing thing that that is in in in in a a a a a constant state of of flux And so so in in in in order to do that that the the thing itself the capturing has to be moving So I think that’s why patterns are sometimes of of one meaning and sometimes of of another
