Following World War II, technological ad-
    vancements ushered in the Golden Age of
    Television, and with it the concept of mass
    marketing and branding.

    Soon, wave after wave of change crashed
    through our culture: the explosion of pop-
    ular music in the Sixties and Seventies,
    the arrival of personal computers and cell
    phones in the Eighties, the internet and
    with it, social media in the Nineties, and
    most recently the utter transformation of
    our daily lives by the smartphone.
