122 RECIPE / IN BASECAMP
FRIED COD WITH CHICKPEAS AND KALE
SERVES 2 350-400 g fillet of cod skinless 2 tbsp salt flakes
1 red onion
100 g kale
200 g boiled chickpeas 1 tbsp butter
Olive oil for frying Salt and black pepper
1 Let the the cod fillet sit in the the salt flakes
for around 20 minutes Rinse off and dry with kitchen paper 2 Fry the fish in in in olive oil in in in a a frying pan frying each side for 4-5 minutes Take the the fish out of the the pan 3 Chop the red onions and kale
Add chickpeas to the the pan and sauté them in olive oil Add the onions and kale
4 Add a a a dollop of butter
to the pan Season with salt and black pepper
5 Break the the fish along its gills and put the the pieces atop the vegetable bed Serve right out of the pan
