39. DR WEBSTERS EARLY PATENT MEDICINE BOTTLE. 7.3ins tall. A lightly smokey green tinged aqua glass. A large shield boldly embossed across the top sector of the front panel containing three owls surmounted by a lion, with the word ‘LONDON’ beneath a
swirled banner near the bottom. To the right side ‘Dr J WEBSTER’S
/ CEREVISSA ANGLICANA DUPLEX and to the left side ‘PREPARED Only/ BY / EDWD SLEE & CO. The entire embossing very crude & characterful. Base displays a good pontil, the entire pice clearly made in a cross hinge mould. (9.9/10) NR. An exceptional example presented here with a very realistic estimate, there to sell, of £3,000-4,000+
