All this can be monitored with the ‘Insight Mobile’ app by Schneider Electrical. Utilizing the app, you can monitor current electric production and output, yearly and monthly production and output, battery storage levels, alarms/alerts for any irregularities in the system, temperatures in storage rooms and

hypothetical info icons showing “trees planted” and “CO2 avoided”.
As depicted in the following graphics, Figure 1 indicates current electrical production from the solar panels to the inverter and the direct supply/consumption of the building. The batteries show as offline as they are 100% charged and are being bypassed. The transmission tower shows as offline as we are not connected to the electrical grid.
Figure 2 indicates monthly production of electricity from solar, harvested from batteries and the backup generator. Figure 3 indicates the yearly percentage produced from solar, harvested from batteries and the backup generator.
As you can see, most of the electricity used in the building comes directly from the solar panels, bypassingthebatteries.Whenthe solar was installed, it was unknown what the true production from the panels was going to be and early in the summer of 2021 we found the production was incredibly high

compared to the requirement of the building. If we had tied back into the grid, we would have been able to sell this power back and receive government subsidies, but this added other construction logistics and was not a part of the motivation to complete such a project.
Instead, we moved a cart charging station from our clubhouse, which receives power from the grid, and connected it to the shop, adding the additional load of 15 carts charging. This additional load caused no issues with the power supply. Being fully power self-sufficient means in cases of power outages we will never lose power or have black outs.
WATER
All rainwater is collected via eight eavestroughs which enter the building and run along the inside of the building connecting at the northwest corner where they run out through the slab, under the frost line and store water in a 10,000L
