HEAT & LIGHTING
The main heating source comes from a two-panel propane burning radiant heater in the main shop and one in the lunchroom, both powered by solar. The exterior walls were custom made in the Netherlands from aluminum with a five-inch R30 insulation on the walls and R40 for the roof. What makes these walls so special is the way they link together. These walls are tongue and groove, and lock together very tight so there is zero wind penetration or chance of heat loss. The lighting is supplied by forty LED in the main shop and 6 in the lunchroom. These lights draw approximately 1.5KWH of electricity and give ample light to the entire facility. The shop and lunchroom are on regular switches so turned off manually but set on a timer so turned off every night at 10pm. Every other room auto turns off and on but have an override switch to keep them on for X amount of time.
AIR RECYCLING AND PROPANE
A 1000lb propane tank is stored on the south side of the turf facility and is utilized for the generator when required and heating the building when extra heat is required. The air circulation system installed has a backup heating source for the facility and is turned on manually when needed. This backup heating system is run by a propane burner in the air circulation. the-art circulation system has eight vents and air enters on the north side of the building and vents on the east side. It is more than adequate to supply fresh air to the main shop as the office, washrooms and machine rooms have their own ventilation system.
COMMUNICATION
A booster was installed at the clubhouse and a receiver was installed on the turf facility. This Wi-Fi runs the electronic job board, the app for solar power, and the face scanner for employee sign in and documentation.
