Depending on your lead value, your goal may be to get as many books in the hands of readers as possible. If this is your goal, making your book permanently free is going to do just that but the funnel itself won’t make you any money.
How do you calculate your lead value? The simplest way:
Last 90 days New Business in $$$ / # New Leads
Let’s say you made $24,000 over the last 90 days and brought in 96 leads.
$24,000/96 leads = $250 value per lead
If your Lead Value is $250 then you’d be willing to spend up to $250 to get that lead.
With your book and Amazon Ads, your cost-per-lead was $25, NOT including how much your funnel made from book sales.
If your book is breaking even on the ads themselves and you got 10 leads from your book, you spent nothing and got $2,500 in total Lead Value.
