BOOK FUNNELS & AMAZON ADS
Each level of the funnel has a few key aspects:
1. How many clicks you get on your Amazon Ads depends on your Amazon Ads Targeting and Product Specs (Title, Reviews, Cover).
2. How many clicks become readers (Conversion Rate 1) depends on your book description and quality of your Amazon Ad clicks
3. How many readers become leads (Conversion Rate 2) depends on the quality of your book and how compelling your call-to-actions are.
To run and improve an effective book funnel, you need to collect data on your funnel at each level.
As you’ll see in Section 2, KDP and your AMS dashboard will collect all data from the top of the funnel until someone becomes a reader. This data collection is taken care of for us.
You will need some way to track what readers become business leads. The easiest way to do this is to have a landing page dedicated to readers from the book or multiple landing pages with the various resources you reference. This is where readers will be able to share their email with you and you can begin to go deeper with them.
Let’s plug in some numbers to give you an example of what a book funnel looks like.
Let’s say that over a month period, you get 1,000 clicks as a result of your ads. AdBadger says the average CPC on Amazon ranges from 50¢ to $1. My authors’ CPC is closer to around 25¢ due to the ad strategies we employ.
Based on a 25¢ CPC, you could expect to spend $250 on those 1,000 clicks.
