BOOK FUNNELS & AMAZON ADS
Someone who’s scrolling through their Facebook feed to see how their friends spent the weekend is not going to be as ready to buy your home cooking masterclass as someone who’s searching Google for a way to improve their scrambled eggs (Just add copious amounts of cheese to your eggs and slow cook them with lots of butter).
That brings us to this new form of one of the oldest ways of generating leads, a book.
One could argue that someone who loved your book, is the warmest possible lead on the planet. If I just spent anywhere from 2-10 hours engaging with you and your content, I’ve just invested a huge amount of time into whatever you’re talking about.
On Facebook, the funnel might look like this:
Someone looking at photos of their grandchild clicks on an ad on Face- book advertising a “top-20 ways to” be a better grandparent guide in exchange for an email.
You then warm that traffic up with five emails to the point where they sign up for your webinar.
They may or may not then buy whatever you’re selling them.
Is a long-term relationship ever really built?
On Amazon the funnel now looks like this:
Someone is searching for a book on Amazon (note that people go to Amazon to buy something) and clicks on your ad and buys your book.
They then proceed to immediately spend 2-10 hours engaging with who you are and what you do.
