BOOK FUNNEL BOOTCAMP
1. Loose Connections
This one’s less about the WHAT and more about the HOW. You should always be looking to provide value to the people around you, for free, with no expectation of anything in return. Making a quick intro to two people who could each benefit from the relationship, providing a quick explainer video for something you’ve mastered that a peer needs help with, or doing some free work for a friend or colleague at no cost are great ways to build a community of people who are willing to give back no matter what you do. Yes, this one is fluffy and mushy, but it’s honestly how we were able to get 10 reviews for our first book out of the gate. Yes the fast part doesn’t apply to the building part of this one but it certainly applies to when you launch your book and instantly have a community of people willing to help you on your mission.
2. Call-to-action at the end of your book + Run Amazon Ads
"If you enjoyed this book or found it valuable, we greatly appreciate anyone willing to leave a review on Amazon because it really helps us ad- vance our mission to touch as many lives as possible.”
ALWAYS have a line like this at the end of your book. Maybe even include it at the beginning of your books as well. It’s amazing how much more likely a reader is to leave a review if you simply ask for it. This alone though isn’t going to be much of a help. One option is to make sure that it’s in your book and then run some Amazon Ads after you have your first 5 reviews.
3. Call-to-action at the end (book matter) of your book + Making your book free on Amazon for 2 days
Same as above, it’s the call-to-action + something else. This something else is a book giveaway. You could also pair this with hiring a book pro- moter to really get people downloading the book.
