BOOK FUNNELS & AMAZON ADS
I ran comparison tests for 10 books on 60,000+ targets across multiple accounts for over 90+ days with a blurb and without a blurb and have found little to no evidence that it makes a difference for non-fiction books. People are sick of being advertised to and when you add a blurb, I think as many people are turned away by the fact that it stands out as an ad.
For fiction authors, it’s more important to run blurbs as the titles can be a bit more abstract. For the non-fiction author who picked the right title, that should be enough and you can now focus your time and limited attention on more important things.
The goal of this book is to get you from zero to 1 with as little friction as possible. Writing blubs, trying to figure out what perfect combination of 150 characters is going to make the difference between selling 4 copies or 5 is increasingly not worth it for non-fiction authors.
Rant over.
