Education is one of the most fundamental building blocks for human development. There
are major factors, including the economic growth, cultural diversity and human resource
development in the country, determining the overall standard of education. Our
honourable founders, Madam Wu and Mr Zhong, had gone through many obstacles and
overcome various hardships before the ambition of having a school could be materialized.
Both their enthusiasm and devotion in education had finally led to the establishment of
Kuen Cheng Girls’ School in 1908. The school had been relocated many times until it
nestled and developed along the famous Klang River. Ever since its inception, the school
has grown by leaps and bounds. Year 2008 marked a milestone in the history of the
school; to usher in the centennial anniversary of Kuen Cheng High School, the school
Board had made a firm decision to turn the school into a co-ed education institution. To
improve the teaching facility and also to cope with the increasing demand of student
population, our School Board had unwavering focused on launching the 15-Year
Reconstruction & Refurbishment Plan as well as bringing forth to the society a remarkable
progress in education. Today, Kuen Cheng is well-equipped with the most modern school
facilities, a strong team of dedicated teachers and staff that ready to provide our students
with the highest academic achievement. Total number of students has currently
exceeded 4,500.
