Kuen Cheng High school is an Independent Chinese Secondary School; Chinese language is
highly regarded and widely used by our community as it is our mother tongue. The School
follows closely with the education development in Malaysia, therefore, we practice a dual
track system. We use standard syllabus of Independent Chinese Secondary School
simultaneously we work along the curriculum of the secondary education in Malaysia as
well as interesting, well-designed textbooks or relevant programme from both local and
international publishers for the good of our students. In the case of English, we apply CEFR
Standard (The Common European Framework of Reference of Languages), for
Mathematics and Science we use both Chinese and English as the medium of instruction.
Students must learn Chinese, English and the Malay language and sit in the Examinations
of JUEC, SUEC and the SPM.

There is a dire need to prepare our students to be ready for all types of challenges that lie
ahead of them in this twenty-first century, a rapidly changing digital age. To nurture our
students, with the right skills, to meet with the unknown world is the major concern of the
school. Determination, curiosity, responsibility, courage, confidence, agility and
adaptability are not born quality and strength; schools play an important role in the
character building and personal development of students. Kuen Cheng High School has
continued to place the importance in exploring and cultivating different learning
experience and styles, jointly carried out by both teachers and students in the process.
The School brings life objects into education during Activity Time. In addition to academic
excellence, our students will be equipped with the required skills, qualities and attitudes
to meet with the ever-changing and demanding situations in their daily lives. Most
importantly, we want to find our students are actually studying and enjoying their school
life here.
