“School days, school days, dear old Golden Rule days. “Readin’ and ‘ritin’ and ‘rithmatic’, taught by the tune of a hickory stick.
Yes, it’s September. The kiddos are back in school and your Chamber pushes on. This month, we were scheduled to have our Business After Hours on Sept. 9 at Marygrove but, due to the resurgence of Covid-19, they had to cancel. Business after Hours will now be held at the Greater North County Chamber Office.
On Sept. 10, we have our “First Responders Barbecue Luncheon” at the Chamber office. Contact the office if you can help out, More than ever, our First Responders need a pat on the back.
On Sept. 12, we will be partnering with Angels at Work for a “Taste in Ferguson”. Unfortunately, due to Covid, this event will be boxed, unless you sign up for the VIP status, in which case, there is a limited amount of seats available, which include live entertainment. Check the Chamber website for details.
Sept. 15, we have our monthly meeting at Glen Echo Country Club. Our program will be MoDOT with updates on the Hwy 270 construction.
On Sept. 24, we will have our 8th annual Women’s Empowerment Seminar. Tickets and Sponsorships are still available. Contact the Chamber office.
As we approach the end of our Chamber year, we look forward to the election of new Directors. If you would like to help lead our Chamber into the future, nomination forms are available at the Chamber office. Likewise, it is time to nominate business owners for the “Business Person of the Year” and “Zykan Family Legacy” Awards. Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office.

t’s not too soon to think about the “Night of Stars”. This is our largest fundraiser of the year. It will be on Dec. 3 at Orlando Gardens. If you can donate something to either the Oral or Silent Auctions, please contact the Chamber office.
