Immanuel United Church of Christ
Derick Winterberg 221 Church St. (63135) (314) 521-7324
Immanuel is a very active congregation in terms of its outreach to the commu- nity and to the world. We participate in various food programs such as Food for Thought, a local food pantry, and Meals on Wheels. We serve as a distribution center for Festival of Sharing, provide meals for Lydia’s House, and send off freshly baked cookies for college students. We serve our community in other ways through Habitat for Humanity, Unleashing Potential (Neighborhood Houses), Every Child’s Hope (ECH), Emmaus Homes, and Room at the Inn. We also participate in all-church offerings such as One Great Hour of Sharing. When natural disasters strike around the world, Immanuel is generous in its collection for disaster relief. Our children also participate in mission outreach through a project called “Jesus has left the building.”
