Questionnaire:

What are one or two projects that you are proud

           of and why?

The following twenty pages outline two projects, Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, MD

and Glen Oaks Club in Old Westbury NY. This information has been included to provide a
sense of our design philosophies, creativity, graphic ability, and technical knowledge that we

look forward to bringing to RBCC. While these two programs appear completely different,
they do share common traits and many parallels to RBCC:

         1. Both of these private facilities are upscale, exclusive clubs. However, prior to their reno-
vations the golf facilities were bland and provided no special character or identity other

than exceptional turf conditioning. By re-envisioning each facility with unique/
transformational/bold design strategies and more dynamic golf holes, Woodmont and

Glen Oaks now dominate their regional private club markets. While the “bones” and the
setting of RBCC’s course are outstanding, the RBCC facility requires a similar infusion of

creativity and styling to reach the property’s full potential.

         2. Despite both renovated golf courses are now challenging enough to host national USGA

and PGA Tour events, we are proud to have sculpted these courses to also remain wholly
enjoyable and playable for the Clubs’ higher-handicap players. RBCC must also achieve

this balance in playability and challenge for Members and Guests of all abilities.

         3. Given the talent and dedication of their Maintenance Staffs, McDonald was emboldened

to “think outside the box” during the planning and execution of these improvement pro-
grams knowing that the Staffs’ will protect each Clubs’ investment. RBCC benefits from a

similar successful maintenance program that will allow McDonald to propose a higher
level of creativity and finesse during the planning process.

         4. Both Clubs benefitted from a thoughtful phased improvement program that minimized
the Members’ disruption by working through multiple off seasons and shoulder seasons.

McDonald is anticipating a similar sensitive implementation program for RBCC.

         5. McDonald Design Group is proud to again collaborate with both Clubs again this coming
year with exciting additional projects. We are extremely proud of the longstanding rela-

tionships we build with our Clients. McDonald Design Group looks forward to continuing

our constructive design/build partnership with RBCC.
