Warm welcome
Visitors can count on a heartwarming welcome from 1,900 Sabans. The local
population will be generous with their time to answer your questions and is
keen to tell you about the particularities of the island. No one is in a hurry, and
you never have to travel far to get home.
In times gone by, while the men were at sea, the women of Saba kept
themselves occupied crocheting tablecloths and spreads. Visitors would look
on astonished by the patience required to create these artworks.
Culinary indulgence
Saba is a small island, but has a large culinary map. Of course, all the
conventional types of fish can be found on the menu of the restaurants, caught
on the day, but the chefs are also at home with international cuisine. It must be
the influence of ancestors who ended up on Saba from all corners of the world.
