Saba Rare beauty
The exceptional character of the underwater world of Saba comes from its
volcanic origin. The seabed is highly varied. You will find bizarre looking
pinnacles in one place and in the next you will see lava tunnels with warm
water currents which attract specific types of fish.
The pinnacles are a rarity. The rock formations Third Encounter, Twilight Zone,
Outer Limits and Shark Shoals are particularly remarkable. From unfathomable
depths, they stick straight up until daylight reaches their summits. If you steer
a middle course between the lava rocks of the Ladder Labyrinth, you will feel
you are in a maze. Divers miss nothing. Visibility is sometimes over 90 meters!
Three professional diving schools are ready for instruction and assistance.
The equipment and facilities are in line with those of the other top 10 diving
locations in the world.
