She addressed her words to M. "M, you will always belong to your
family and friends. But first you belong to Nature." And with that
she led M back through the oaks and firs to the edge of the forest.
She guided her right into the middle of a honeysuckle bush in full
bloom. There M was encircled by a throng of ruby-throated
hummingbirds. Instantly, M began to hum in harmony with her
bird companions.
