insurance industry, I have never seen it! Here is a handy
guide for the acronyms you will encounter in this book.
ADO: Agency Development Organization. Provides
market access like aggregators, clusters, and market
access providers, but also provides agency life cycle
development services, coaching, mentoring, educa-
tion, and other services. The leading ADO is Strategic
Insurance Agency Alliance (SIAA) through its strategic
master agency network, which thirteen percent of the
independent agents in the U.S. belong to as of this
writing.
Agency Foundation™: A trademarked program of
SIAA for new, startup insurance agencies that provides
intensive training, mentoring, coaching, and startup
assistance and includes website development, first-year
use of multi-company rating systems, automation
systems, and a variety of other services and benefits
