We Support our Sisters in Iran

Our brave sisters in Iran face danger every day as they continue to protest for women’s rights
and, more basically, human rights. Many have been beaten and/or arrested for removing their
hijabs. The CFBPW Public Policy Committee has issued the following statement:

CFBPW STATEMENT SUPPORTING THE WOMEN OF IRAN

The California Federation of Business and Professional Women supports our sisters in Iran who are
bravely protesting against human rights violations. Since the death in police custody of 22-year-
old Mahsa Amini in September, women in Iran have been risking their lives and fighting the good
fight. CFBPW stands firmly against violence against women and gender inequity in Iran and
around the world. We join with women across the globe to condemn the patriarchal and sexist
society that currently exists in Iran.
