Letter from the Editor
Dear BPW California Members,
Wishing You All a Very Happy New Year!
For our Winter 2023 Edition of ‘CALIFORNIA WOMAN’, we are dressing her up
and making her more lively, passionate and vibrant, as well as more friendly,
intuitive, and well-informed, thanks to your varied and valuable articles. The
Lady must be a good reflection of us all!
As in previous editions, our ‘CALIFORNIA WOMAN’ is again well defined by solid and experienced
contributing Members. But, in my view, she should evolve to be more fully representative of all
BPW California Members.
In the next, Spring 2023 Edition of ‘CALIFORNIA WOMAN’, I would like to encourage us to include,
in addition to the general reports of District Presidents, new contributions from each Club Presi-
dent on the activities of their particular group, such as mentions of their charity work, guest
speakers, outings, exhibitions, and new projects.
An open mic should also be given to all members on topics of their choosing: the ups & downs of
their profession, their aspirations at the heart of BPW, a cause they support, a hobby they em-
brace, a book they enjoyed reading, an event they attended, a course they took, the safety of the
area where they live, etc.
The true raison d’être of our ‘CALIFORNIA WOMAN’ is to allow us to share a wealth of information
which not only makes for interesting reading, but also inspires all our Clubs with new ideas and
activities reciprocally exchanged.
As you read this Winter 2023 Edition, I therefore invite you all to also think ahead, about our
Spring Edition, which will appear in just three months: (Deadline March 12th).
We welcome everyone’s many talents and resourcefulness, and are counting on you to help make
OUR ‘CALIFORNIA WOMAN’ blossom and achieve her full potential!
Thank you, dear BPW California Members,
Wishing you good health, great joy and little pleasures, and above all, a vivid imagination, a
heartful inspiration, and many successes in 2023.
