P. 20
In my senior year, I accepted a position at Epic Systems Corporation,
an electronic healthcare records software company, in Madison, Wis-
consin. It is very far from my home in California. I really appreciate
how, through the CEF program, I was able to have a great head start
in a new city. I had more options because I did not have to worry
about large loan payments, allowing me to rent an apartment and live
on my own for the first time. I am grateful that the remainder of my
loan was waived and became a scholarship this October. It helps with
my financial stability as I begin my career.
I am now a Technical Services Engineer. I am a problem solver for my
customers. I work to establish a relationship with them, then trouble-
shoot and find the root cause of any issues, and offer improvements
for their systems. I work on Tapestry, a department that deals with
the management of health insurance members, claims to providers or payers, and patient re-
ferrals. I'm glad I can use the support and mentorship of BPW to be a role model in the male
dominated engineering and computer science field.
I really appreciate that the Business and Professional Women's group was able to give
me the opportunity to reach this point in my career. Your support of my Harvey Mudd educa-
tion allowed me to become the problem solver and young professional I am today!
