December was a very social time. BPW NW & Midlands held a lunch at the Malmaison
Hotel in Manchester, ahead of Christmas and in spite of industrial action by the rail unions.

A week later, Helen Ashworth and I took on our annual drinks and
food pairings challenge. Helen chose Glüwein and cheese, while I re-
searched Sangria and tapas. As the event was held on Zoom, no taxis were
                                required.

The BPW UK Wednesday talk and social got members from all areas together to start the
festive season with catch-ups and online games.

2024 is set to be another busy year. The BPW NW & Midlands AGM is on 17 February, so
our members can enjoy the opportunity to meet up and discuss activities.

GEIG meetings continue for the International Earth Day on 22 April 2024. A European
resolution is being drawn up to support BPW clubs in preparing their events more sustainably.

I am attending the BPW UK National Conference in Bristol on 15 - 16 March 2024 where
members will again benefit from National, European and International perspectives.
