California Federation of Business & Professional Women

The members who attended the National Federation Business Professional
Women's Biennial Conference in Sacramento were exposed to a conference filled
with information, excellent presentations and fun. WE enjoyed meeting the mem-
bers of the National's Executive Committee in person, and it was gratifying also that
so many of our International officers were in attendance including the Internation-
al President, Past International Presidents, and Regional Coordinators from North
America and the Caribbean and Latin America.

A United States Congress woman from California's 27th District sent a video
message to our conference. The Representative was Judy Chu, a long time member
of East Los Angeles/ Montebello BPW Club. The Congresswoman is an excellent
advocate especially on issues that our Federation supports. She truly is a VOICE for
BPW!

It was interesting to meet some of the immigrants from Afghanistan and to
hear the update information on the Afghanistan Project that BPW is continuing.

The Young BP members were enthusiastic and were very much involved in the
activities of BPW. The EC"s earned their praises and the attendees were glad to be
in attendance.

Ten members of our Valley Sunset District were in attendance at Together
Again Conference, plus some zoom participants as well. While the VSD clubs have
had some Summer informal activities, they are gearing up once again for both in
person and zoom meetings. Our District will be celebrating National Business Wom-
en's Week and our own Women of Achievement Award on October 22nd at the Coast
Anabelle Hotel in Burbank. Closer to the date, more details will be brought to your
attention. We look forward to seeing you.●
