Letter from BPW Europe Coordinator, Anu Viks

Last month Anu Viks wrote to BPW Europe Presidents to set the tone for the new
2022/23 season. To summarise she sets out the strategic direction and goals for
BPW Europe, provides details of the Working Groups and BPW Europe Networks
which all members are eligible to join. Read the full letter below and go to
          www.bpw-europe.org to find out more.

From Ruth Galwey and Jacqui McLoughlin
          Dear Presidents,

We are starting the new season 2022/2023 with enormous anticipation about
the future. The world has changed dramatically since my goal setting letter from
the beginning of February. In the beginning of 2022, the mission and concentration
of BPW Europe on the possibilities to bring more women to leadership positions, to
have the equal pay and equal opportunities, to gain economic freedom for women
then now, BPW Europe must add to the vision also the support women in the post-
Covid world and the cooling economic situation. One of our missions continues to be
the help for members of Chernihiv Club, refugees, and people in Ukraine.

The general strategic direction for BPW Europe is to increase the visibility of
BPW on the national and European level. Visibility is the key to the healthy organi-
zation and the core to increase to the membership. Our greatest asset and biggest
          strength are our members.

The greatest and a very successful event of 2022 was the BPW Europe Re-
gional Conference in Reykjavik Iceland. Iceland Club gave their best in organizing
the Conference and sharing the experiences of Icelandic women in their journey to
Equality. The key speakers were outstanding Icelandic politicians and key persons
in the society of Iceland. Every one of us took home a special message from these
outstanding women and from the panel discussions and workshop held in Iceland.

Two new Working Groups were accepted to BPW Europe at the Presidents
meeting in Iceland – WEPs and Learning for Leadership.
BPW Europe is outstanding in having Working Groups for all members to join and
work together to create the inspirational vision and achieve the set goals.
                                                                                                                      …/...
