London from above
– the Sky Garden in Fenchurch Street –
Ladies – if you are in London this summer with a spare hour or so and a head for heights
then I would recommend a visit to one of the Sky Gardens in Fenchurch Street for a won-
derful view of the city and beyond to the suburbs of London.
In early June my sister Susan and I visited ‘The Garden at 120’ in Fenchurch Street, which
is also called "the other Sky garden". With 15 floors it is not the tallest sky garden in Fen-
church Street: that is nearby on the "Walkie Talkie" building with 34 floors for those of you
who know the London skyline.
The Garden at 120 Fenchurch Street (above the Fencourt Building
(https://www.thegardenat120.com/#content/page/roof_garden)
has very good views around many parts of Greater London, including Greenwich, Shooters
Hill, Crystal Palace, the Alexandra Palace and nearer can be seen the well-known sights of
the city including St Pauls, the Tower of London, HMS Belfast and Tower Bridge, as well as
parts of the Houses of Parliament, The Old Bailey, the London Eye, the BT Tower and The
Gherkin.
Visits to the ‘Garden at 120’ are free of charge and no booking is required, but as it is on a
first come first served basis, it's probably best not to go on a weekend or bank holiday!
Take up a picnic and maybe binoculars and cameras.
