Human Rights – recognition that women’s rights are human rights



            Passage of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
               •   Ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA).

               •  Eradicate Domestic Violence and the Electronic and Physical stalking, sexual harassment,
                   sexual abuse and discrimination.

               •  Support universal background checks for all firearm gun purchases.

               •   Reinstate the Violence Against Women Act.

               •  Oppose human trafficking, sexual exploitation and slavery.


            Support:


               •  Equal education opportunity including adequate funding of public education, from preschool
                   through postsecondary.

               •  Equal rights for all, without discrimination on the basis of background or beliefs.  (Wording from
                   the BPW Constitution. It is all inclusive. If one group is mentioned, others should also be
                   included).

               •  Equal treatment of and end discrimination against all women.

               •  Policies and practices that promote environmental sustainability.

               •  The endeavors of and improve conditions for military-affiliated women.

               •  ‘Our’ women in prisons.

               •  Protection of human rights and equitable treatment of all peoples.  (Again, the support should be
                   all inclusive).
