A Woman's Journey’
This was a classic example of a woman identifying gaps in the market
which enabled her to move up in the business world.
Although married with children she began as a micro-entrepreneur sell-
ing blouses and accessories.
As a business graduate and using the respected family name to obtain
credit she then established an agency for Goodyear tyres.
Two years later she became the sole supplier of ‘Barbie’ in the Philip-
pines and four years on introduced baby products and became the dis-
tributor for ‘Pigeon’ from Japan. Six years later she became the ‘Circo’
distributor for Italy.
She has also encouraged potential entrepreneurs in teaching the ABC of
commodity training and has released a video about life in the board-
room, providing mentorship and encouragement to ‘youthpreneurs’
