Page 13 - BPW-UK ANNUAL REVIEW 2023-2024
P. 13
This year within our BPW UK Annual Review you will get a better understanding of what
the holder of the Office of President has been doing, along with the individual FEC members.
The Annual Review document shows on paper the results of this work, but by no means
allows us to see the hours spent at our desks preparing. Alongside the Terms of Reference of
the Working Groups and Task Force meetings we liaise with the other NGOs in the UK, Europe
and through CSW globally. If you are not yet a member of one of these groups, then please join
one. These groups are the internal engine of our organisation, the fuel that helps us to succeed
in what we do. Yes, we are succeeding, and I am proud of the work we all do voluntarily to-
wards the aims of Business and Professional Women UK.
As an organisation we will continue to work towards the economic empowerment of wom-
en, through our network of mentors and peer support. I know that I have improved my skill set
whilst being a member of BPW, and volunteering with these inspiring women has been an in-
vestment well made.
I am looking forward to our first in person National Conference since Covid became a
household name, and I look forward to sharing time with you all.
So, “Women, we mean business” and as a member of BPW UK we certainly do.
