Webinar No. 6 entitled “Wrap-up” took place on 11 October 2022 on the International Day
of the Girl Child.

It was intended that audiences would be between young people between 12 and 35 years
old. Panels have been set up using Ambassadors and Mentors and full use is being made of
Social Media.

As someone who was involved in encouraging work on the Girl Child in Reykjavik back in
1996, I am in awe and admiration at the efforts made in Europe, but in particular by BPW
Italy and BPW Malta, to further this work. I can thoroughly recommend listening to a re-
cording of this talk by Mariella Camilleri who has created a formula for work on the Girl Child
to be rolled out throughout Europe and the rest of the world. This whole initiative is a won-
derful example of what can be achieved when the imagination is fired and members are pre-
pared to come together to achieve an objective. Congratulations indeed to Mariella!●
