Jeremy, notre ‘Chef de Fête’
… Our ‘Party Chef’!
Well, what a delightful surprise to be met with a superb dinner for twelve at
Jo and Jeremy’s home on the night before Conference!
I arrived courtesy of my niece Stella who drove me from Cricklade in the
Cotswolds over to Bristol to drop off luggage and then to Jo’s. She too was invited to
stay for supper together with other guests from afar: Lynne from London, Siiri and
Mitro from Estonia and Kukka from Finland, Otoha and Yasmin locally and Jeanette
from Northern Ireland. A truly eclectic group.
Well, back to the food! Delicious coq au vin all home-made and served with
aplomb by our Chef and accompanied by wine and other beverages. I don’t know
how he managed all this in between his many driving sorties to collect various
members and visitors for the conference from planes, trains and automobiles!
A really big thank you Jeremy (ably assisted by their two gorgeous cocker
spaniels Ezra and Django who provided the light entertainment).
