BALLOT INITIATIVES

Only ballot initiatives that relate to the Federation Platform will be presented for screening.

The Legislative Advocacy Chair will review the ballot initiatives as published by the State of
California and submit the initiatives to the Legislative committees and the Legislative

Screening Committee for review.

The Committee will use the same screening procedures outlined in the Federation Hand-

book for all bill screening.

The Legislative Advocacy Chair will poll the Committee members and record their votes.

The Legislative Advocacy Chair will notify the Legislative Advocate and the Executive Com-

mittee of the results of the screening as soon as it is completed. The President will poll
the Executive Committee for vote on the Committees’ recommendation.

There are three possible actions the Committee may recommend:

Support

Oppose

No position

Following approval from the Executive Committee, the Legislative Advocate will notify
members of the Board of Directors to assist in the distribution of the position taken to

members of the federation.
