WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO?
You often hear that “CEF makes educational dreams come true” and that is certainly
the case with loan recipient Jordan Bennett. Jordan is a student at UC Santa Clara, majoring
in Public Health Science with a focus on Health and Society. Aside from her academic studies,
Jordan is an athlete and an outstanding member of ROTC.
This past summer she completed Cadet Summer Training at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, where
she spent 35 days being evaluated for leadership abilities. Following this training, Jordan
spent 21 days at Ft. Liberty where she shadowed a lieutenant from the Medical Services Corps,
which is her most preferred occupation selection.
This fall Jordan was honored with the position of Cadet Battalion Commander, which
meant that she was in charge of running and supervising the entire program at SCU. In De-
cember she found out that her three years of hard work had truly paid off. Jordan will com-
mission as a Distinguished Military Graduate, graduating in the top 20% in the entire nation.
After graduation she will begin her career as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army. She re-
ceived her first choice assignment, Medical Services Corps, where she will start as a Health
Services Administrator.
Jordan continues her athletic career, competing in the Fall Collegiate Championships.
She will be ready to compete with the Santa Clara team at the season start in February.
And one more accolade—Jordan earned a 4.0 GPA this quarter, taking nineteen units!
Jordan sends her thanks for CEF’s support, stating, “I would have never been able to
attend SCU without it.”
So….open your checkbooks. Let’s help more students like Jordan achieve their dreams.
This is where your money goes!
