                 Dear Members,

As you will see in this month’s edition of the Newsletter it has been a busy
month. As always, we appreciate any feedback on the Newsletter, and welcome ar-
ticles from you all. The newsletter team, Jackie Franklin, Janice Bancroft, Monique
Lee and I work hard to produce a monthly newsletter full of interesting and relevant
pieces. But we are a member-led organization, and we welcome input from you all.

I would like to thank the Newsletter Task Force, as we do have a busy time
when it is getting close to the distribution deadline each month.

At the end of April was the face-to-face meeting of European Presidents and
the YBPW Symposium held in Brussels. We had the opportunity to take part in use-
ful webinars in the heart of Europe. Despite the UK being out of the European Par-
liament, we continue to be part of Europe and represented at the Council of Europe
and a vital part of BPW Europe.

Over 110 BPW Europe members met together over the three days, with our
discussions continuing outside of the main rooms over coffee or a meal. BPW UK
was represented by me as your President, and the joint International Vice Presi-
dents, Jacqui Mcloughlin, and Ruth Galwey. Although this is a job share, we really
do get double input giving us a great opportunity, within the Presidents meeting, to
have two votes to cast on the topics raised.

We now have a new business address in Brussels, to comply with the revised
EU NGO transparency regulations and Cairoli Paola from BPW Italy was accepted as
the new auditor for BPW Europe. There will be the chance to learn more about the
                                                                     th
work we covered in our Wednesday webinar on 7 June 2023 at 1900, so be sure to
         sign up for that.

My spot on the agenda was to present the approved BPW Chernihiv van pro-
ject to the European Presidents and representatives which was well received. BPW
Iceland were delighted to take away the points from my presentation to show to
their Club members, with the hope that further contributions to the fund will be re-
ceived. If anyone would like to donate here is the link: https://
