STUFF

“No more cookery books, you’ve got enough!”
My dear daughter firmly reminded me.

“You’re the one bent on using less stuff”

I stood stunned, this sounded rough

but true, realisation coming ruefully.
“No more cookery books, you’ve got enough!”

“You’ve got food tube to ensure your pastry will puff,

while saving the planet exponentially, and proving
you are the one bent on using less stuff.”

“You can screen shot ideas, you know it’s not tough,
as you feed your followers experimentally. Remember

No more cookery books, you’ve got enough!”

A new world has unfolded; everyone is chuffed

as the mantra is repeated continually;
“You’re the one bent on using less stuff.”

The words ring in my head with no hint of a huff,

I am so grateful for her honesty.
“No more cookery books, you’ve got enough

You’re the one bent on using less stuff”.
