am Adrija Goswami, a swimmer . I started to swim on my father’s interest, at a young age of
five. Swimming is divided into four strokes namely butterfly stroke, backstroke, breaststroke,
and freestyle stroke. Among these, my main stroke is butterfly. My first achievement in the field
of swimming was former intra club swimming competition, in the year 2015. In that competition,
I participated in two events and received first and second position. And I must say that all of my
coaches still today never put their legs back to inspire and appreciate me. The biggest achievement
of mine still today is in 2017 CBSE Zonal in which I participated in two events 50 fly and 50 back
and stood 1st and 2nd respectively and was qualified for CBSE national and represented my school
(Techno India Group Public School Konnagar). The moment when I was receiving my medals,
certificates, and a gift from our respected principal Sir was very exciting. I hope I would again be
able to make my school, my teachers and parents feel proud of me. I also have a dream to open a
swimming association for interested children who can’t afford swimming for monetary problems.
