Asked why he decided to toss his hat in the ring, Colbert responded, “With all due respect, and with the exception of Bernie Sanders’ hair, none of the Democratic candidates are funny. The Ukrainian election victory is unequivocal proof that Stephen Colbert has the best chance of breaking the unfunny gridlock in Washington. See, I am already referring to myself in the third person, which is a refreshing change from the current Occupant’s incessant me-me-me yammering.”

“Awesome! Stephen was great, the band was great and it was cool to see how our government with President Colbert would work.”
“Worth the wait! He makes you laugh, yell and cheer, which is exactly what’s missing from our current government.”
“The show was a blast! On television, he runs out on stage, but you don’t see all of his running when the cameras are off. He will definitely give Trump a run for his money. No golf carts for Colbert!”
