an unfortunate accident, but the Power family never believed it. For as long as she could remember, Gary
had been both her older brother and father. And he had always been there for her — when she was picked up for shoplifting in 7th grade, when her mother died, even
when she joined the hippie commune where she met Lefty.
When her mother told her about the U-2 incident, she cried for weeks. First her father, now Gary. She promised herself that those dirty Commies would pay — somehow, someday.
