CONCEPTS
SKETCHES
Here i have sketch iterations of my three
concepts, exploring form and materials
and ergonomics. I started out with a
slanted top but found it difficult in the
manufacturing process so went back to a
minimalism, symplistic form.
MODELS
The workshop allowed me to bring my
sketches to 3D models, where i could test
their ergonomics and size, are they
practical and do they work or not.
CAD
These are my three concept ideas in CAD
renders. Concept one being a japanese
style using arched lid and matte black
finish.
Concept two consists of a handleless
form where you hold with the matte black
polymer layer in the centre of the press,
expressing minimalism.
Concept three is the chosen concept with
an arched exterior housing that fits
manufacturing process of Injection
Moulding, Interior housing made of glass
with the spout attatched. The handle is a
seperate piece.
