Reflection 2021-2021
Covid-19
This year because of covid-19, we weren’t
in college that much, and we couldn’t get
the same experience as in other years. I
would have done better this year in my
assignments. Being at home and doing
college work wasn’t my vital thing and
distractions at home, but my motivation
went down. I think I did the best I could
in the situation we were in and managed
to do my best.
Project 3
I choose the home work group because i
felt this topic was very close to me as
working from home, I found it very hard and
could bring a lot to the group. This project
was a group of 5, and this project was all done
online as covid-19 cases were very high and
we went into complete lockdown. For this
project I found some parts exciting and
others i felt very stressed for example,
hypothesis i found it very hard to come up
with it. Throughout this project, it was a
perfect time to interact with other student
and as a group we worked well on this project.
Project 1
For this project, I choose a sleep timer for
children, which is an electronic device.
This allowed me to look into children's
devices and health. For this project, we c
ouldn't do a model due to covid-19, so we
did a model on SolidWorks .But overall,
I enjoyed this project as there was a lot of
research to be done and this is one of my
most vital points in the design.
Project 4 Additional Work
For additional work we did solidworks
a lot in the first semester we did
exercises and in the second semester we
did three red dot awards 2 of them i did
really well an the third one i didnt really
do great work on it. I think online doing
solidworks really didnt help me as it was
very hard to explain the problems i had
and hard to do it. In the first semester
we did swatches for workshop module
and it was very great to get some
experience this year in workshop. I got
on very well with the swatches and was
happy with the outcome of the swatches.
I am a hand on designer that loves making new design ideas for users
to help them with their everyday problems. I have big passion for design
and hope to have a good career in the future with my skills.
Project 2
This project was a co-design project
unfortunately, usually, interact with
Wexford college students but due to
covid-19 we had to do as a class. I choose
the older people as my nanny, and my
grandadwas impacted by covid-19. In the
group there was another students from the
class. I enjoyed this project as it was the
first time this year doing a project in a
group. In this project, we had to do as a
group and research older people and how
their lives have impacted after covid-19 and
how were their lives before covid-19. At the
end of this project, it was nice to see all the
presentations and see howimpacted all
different kind of people by covid.
Conclusion
Overall i enjoyed my 3 year and have
acomplished a lot and learned new skills
to take it to my final year four and inprove
on some of them. It has been a very
diffrent year but i made the best out of a
bad year into a good one.
