ACTIVE AGING - JAN KRÜGER BIOGRAPHY
INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
About Me:
My name is Jan Krüger. I am a product design student from HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd in Germany, currently
studying at IT Carlow in Ireland. Personally, I am an honest, relatively quiet and reserved person.
As a designer, I always try to distinguish myself by putting a lot of emphasis on user understanding, which I
believe is critical for making qualified and well-founded design decisions.
Motivation:
Figuring out how things work, where problems lie and then finding solutions to those real world problems,
turning concepts into aesthetic, tangible objects, or improving on already existing solutions is my greatest
passion. Pursuing a career in design, I hope to turn this passion into a living.
Design Philosophy:
I believe there are three factors, that make a great designer and that I strive for in any project.
First, the ability to thoroughly analyse and observe. Secondly, strong and broad set of skills, to achieve great qual-
ity. And last but certainly not least, empathy, to address user needs appropriately.
