This brief required us to select 5 different materials from

the list of:

Metallic

Polymeric

Composite

Elastomer

Natural

From these materials we were required to mimic their

finishes onto swatches we had formed. The materials I

chose were:

Carbon Fibre

Leather

Rubber

Brushed Steel

Polyactic Acid (PLA)

The following five pages will have information on how I

painted my swatches to mimic the above materials aswell

. as some information about the history of the material and

. how it is made.
