Problem Statement
Many older adults can find it difficult to navigate through unknown systems of
public transport, especially when their regular route is disturbed. Since their
cognitive skills worsen as they age, they are unable to be as independent as
they would like and relying on family or other private transport may not always
be a viable option.
Hypothesis
Creating a system that reduces confusion around public transport will
significantly increase the use of public transport in the older generation.
This should encourage them to feel better about going into these
unfamiliar situations. Through understanding the user and their needs, we
can introduce public transport as an option for more than the current 10%
of older adults who use it.
