CONCEPT GENERATION

During the concept generation phase, multiple ideas were explored for reimagining the
Polaroid 635 CL through the lens of Martine Bedin’s playful and expressive design
language. Sketches and 3D studies were used to experiment with form, colour, and
materiality, translating Bedin’s bold geometry, whimsical details, and tactile qualities into
contemporary interpretations. Concepts focused on enhancing user interaction,
emphasising character, and balancing nostalgia with modern functionality, allowing a
variety of design directions to emerge before selecting the most compelling approach.
