Directions/Problem areas
Direction 1:
Fragile Food Packaging
Some food packages don’t serve their purpose of protecting the
food that they are packaging. The food ends up being damaged or
bruised, and ends up having to be thrown away.
Direction 2:
Single Use Packaging
Single use packaging has been an issue in recent years, and although
stores and shops are trying to reduce their usage of this material, it is
still a problem for the environment regarding sustainability. A way to
create a packaging type with reusability would be the primary goal of
this direction.
Direction 3:
Materials Used within
Packaging
Some materials used within packaging can have different effects
on the food they’re surrounding. For example, materials causing the
food to decay quicker, or materials that will delay the degredation
process. Creating a packaging material which could possibly delay this
decaying process would be the primary goal. This end result being a
reusable product also, would be the secondary goal.
