Marketing Module and Projects
The Marketing module never failed to be an interesting one. Our lecturer for this was very helpful, and always taught the class in
a way which would make everything fun to learn. Although some parts of it were not to my taste, others really appealed to me. I
thoroughly enjoyed creating many of my own brands, and learning about Brand Essense, Brand Identity, and how to create my
own Google Ads. I also now know how to make my own company page on Facebook, thanks to this module.
The calculations part of this module were definitely not fun for me, but they were useful to learn all the same. I know that I will
need those calculations for future dates.
Overall I thought this module was fairly enjoyable, and if I were to repeat the year and take it again, I would be sure to
concentrate more when learning about Projected Sales and Calculation Assumptions.
Red Dot Project
The Red Dot project proved to be a challenge for me, as I was indecisive in choosing my products at the beginning. This,
paired with my Solidworks skills at the time, made the whole project somewhat tedious and challenging for me. I did not enjoy
making the difficult model (the headphones) at all. I also didn’t allocate enough time to making my finished pices looking more
presentable, through Solidworks itself or Keyshot.
If I were to redo this project I would be more able for it now, but I would make sure to put my products into Keyshot to make
them look more presentable, and get better hero shots out of them.
Materials Swatch Project
The materials swatch project was one which left us undecided from the beginning, as it was hard for everyone to decide which
swatches to recreate. For me personally, I was very happy with some of my choices. However, there were others which I finished
and was still unhappy with. For example, the silver was only a primer and a couple of sprays.
If I were to do this project again, I would choose swatches which proved to be slightly more challenging, so I would come out
with more interesting looking swatches.
