    Culture MATTERS:
How to Connect, Support and Build Trust in the New World of Work
Iam passionate about helping organizations create and maintain cultures that are safe, inclusive and supportive.
When people work towards a shared vision in an environment of trust and psychological safety, efficiencies improve, innovation reigns and business thrives!
Inspired by my personal journey of workplace bullying, I founded Harmony In The Workplace to prevent others from suffering the unwarranted shame and humiliation that I did when I got fired from a job due to covert bullying that was occurring behind closed doors.
It was a painful time in my life, and I used the opportunity to reflect on what mattered most to me in the work that I did and what gifts I could bring to the world. I realized that I had been playing small and that my
natural gifts in communication, strategy and connecting people were being wasted.
The Covid-19 disruption has had a devastating effect on many, and everyone is processing the pandemic differently. Some have embraced working from home, some have felt
disjointed and isolated, and others are overwhelmed with family responsibilities. Many are worried and anxious about the future.
The top concerns managers have identified are maintaining a cohesive organizational culture when teams are disjointed and scattered, building and maintaining trust during
times of elevated stress and disruption, and creating connection and engagement while distancing.
Harmony In The Workplace addresses these issues through public speaking, training, strategy, and targeted support while changes are implemented. We offer in person, on-line, individual, team or group options.
As a Certified Information & Referral Specialist, with an honours diploma in Human Resource Management, I bring a holistic approach to people management. Working in the human service sector for many years gave me an opportunity to know and understand people and the problems they encounter, whether it be financial
stress, a drug addicted child, domestic violence or caring for aging parents. I was privileged to assist folks in their most vulnerable condition. I went on to
obtain my certification as a Psychological Health and Safety Advisor and work with businesses and non-profits to create cultures of
harmony.
Workplace harmony is about meeting people where they are
through the lens of understanding of the complex issues related to mental health, domestic violence, workplace bullying and
sexual harassment. It’s about creating an environment of psychological safety where people are free and encouraged to
share and be vulnerable.
