When you walk into Irene’s studio you already feel pampered despite no makeup or hair style. The team of hair stylists and makeup artists greet you, collect your wardrobe, hand you your beverage, and shuffle you off for the transformation of your life.
“When clients come to my studio I want them to feel super special. I want to prepare them so they can see their beauty and let their light shine,” says Irene. “My vision is to capture the most beautiful portrait that they’ve ever seen of themselves. I want to do that for them because their transformation has the power to change lives.”
Long before the photoshoot, Irene has met with the client for a wardrobe styling and consultation. “I want to know if you have dreamed of dancing in a swirling ballroom gown, or if you would prefer to be posed like a high-end fashion model. Whatever you want, we can make it happen,” says Irene. Her team works to create the scene, from fans blowing hair for that Vanity Fair capture to fabrics swirling around you
and creating magical moments.
Irene has this deep passion for watching people go through the process of
being photographed. “I often hear the client say they’re ‘not photogenic.’ I simply tell them it’s not their job to be photogenic; it’s my job to guide them and direct them to capture their perfect expressions, connection and pose,” says Irene.
As a professional photographer, Irene understands that capturing
the perfect portrait is not about age or shape or weight, it’s about YOU and capturing what makes you feel beautiful, confident, and empowered. It’s her desire to create portraits clients can’t help but fall in love with.
The ultimate inspiration for Irene is the client’s transformation. “I literally watch them unfold before my camera, “says Irene. “They first walk into the studio feeling vulnerable but by the time they have their makeup done, hair styled, and dressed in their outfits they are radiating their beauty. And it’s not just a physical beauty, it’s their light that shines from within. That has to be the most incredible moment for me – to watch them be in awe of themselves again, to reconnect with the person they’ve lost sight of.”
Irene is a multi-award-winning photographer. Her images have been judged by world-renown judges, photographers, and educators from all around the world. Each image submitted is graded in 9 categories to ensure it reaches High Professional Standards. Irene’s contemporary portraiture and glamour photography focuses on individual portraits, family and couples, and headshot and branding.
