MCCANN RELEASES SECOND BOOK

Soror LaDonna McCann, of Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter,
Huntsville, AL, has published her second book, “Hello It’s
Me!” The memoir is a reflection of her life lessons gained by
saying hello to different experiences in her life. Soror
McCann is a mentor for others formally and informally and is
passionate about sharing what she has learned during her
personal journey. She received a bachelor’s in environmental
science and a master’s degree in geography both from the
University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Congratulations! Soror Yvonne Sanderson, a Project
Lead the Way and Greenpower teacher at McNair
Junior High School, who has been selected a HCS
Changemaker. Soror Yvonne’s classroom is a place
where students are often moving about and getting
hands-on with projects, whether that is working on a
Greenpower car or using software to assist with city
planning projects. A student in Soror Yvonne’s class
states, “I feel like she is readying us for the future by
showing them vast options used by different fields to

allow them to think about career options”. Soror Yvonne
is passionate about the work she does every day to
improve the lives of the young people in her classroom.
Kudos, Soror Yvonne for Exemplifying Excellence and
being a Changemaker in our community!
